Flower Farming 101 Workshop: May 2-3, 2024
Our 2-day Flower Farming 101 Workshop is perfect for beginning or aspiring flower farmers. With the group size intentionally limited to just 12 guests, you will receive lots of 1:1 time with Niki and her experienced staff – plus learning from other attendees is always incredibly valuable. Each day will be full of hands-on learning, planning and discussion and we will cover the following topics: structuring a farm business, sales outlets, crop planning, variety selection, succession planting, harvesting, proper stage of harvest and post-harvest treatment, seed starting, soils, field preparation and layout, farm chores, creating a website, social media and more. Plus you will fully experience a working flower farming during the peak season.
Workshop registration includes lunch for both days and a group dinner on the farm. The workshop is held at Flourish Flower Farm in Asheville, NC. Course materials and other goodies are included.
We STRONGLY encourage all participants to purchase trip insurance. Because we are a very small business, regretfully we cannot transfer registrations to other workshops or future dates, even in the event of extenuating circumstances. Trip insurance will help protect your investment in a Flourish workshop, just in case life happens. All purchases are final and non-transferable.
Terms + Conditions: We do not maintain a waitlist & each year our workshops sell out quickly, but we require a minimum of 6 participants to host the workshop. If you choose to pay the deposit upon registration, the full balance will be due on March 1st, 2024. You will be emailed a separate invoice to pay the balance.
